This year provided Younger Generation Church many memorable moments and significant accomplishments. Here are just a few 2023 highlights to emphasize YG’s mission and values.
INTIMACY WITH GOD

What a delight to start the year with Pastor Sam Leonor to give focus to our pursuit of GOD and the transformation that brings to our life. The weekend sessions, 24-hour prayer room, and worships to open and close the Sabbath all brought us closer to Jesus and closer to each other.
COMMUNITY WITH EACH OTHER
FAITH AND FAMILY NIGHTS
It has been surprising how popular this activity has become, with us selling out all our group tickets and getting another batch. The camaraderie and excitement of all ages has been so wonderful, and it’s great to see families enjoying a basketball game together.
HOPE OF GRACE
ADVENTIST YOUNG PROFESSIONALS CONVENTION: THRIVE
The 3-day leadership intensive weekend brought together nearly 400 attendees from North America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and Africa united in their desire to connect with young adults, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and embrace their purpose and calling as disciples for Christ. Whereas, at one time there was close to nothing offered in the Adventist church for young professionals, AYP now lauds over 7,000 members worldwide.

DFW YOUNG ADULT LIFE TOUR
The first pilot of the tour was held in the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists at Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church in the heart of the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Throughout the weekend there was strong attendance from churches across the union. A total of ten churches from the Southwestern Union were represented at the tour stop. The afternoon training intensive had over 40 in attendance representing over 15 different ministries.
Many church leaders, parents, and adult members are eager to discover ways to engage and empower young adults in ministry and create meaningful bonds with local church life. But so often, they are at a loss as to where to start or how to begin building relationship. The Young Adult LIFE Tour intends to bring insights and relevant, doable steps to building young adult ministry now.

TEXAS ARISE INTENSIVE
Of the over 400 from around the world who gathered for discipleship training, nearly 30 were from Younger Generation Church being trained in depth Bible study, faith practices, and ministry life.
President @demoraeselton shared:
"After many months of praying, planning, and dreaming, ARISE Texas kicked off this weekend with over 400 registered participants. This is the largest ARISE Intensive organized, and we are proud to be part of it. ARISE is 'a discipleship ministry that empowers you to be a disciple-making disciple in whatever path you pursue.' This partnership is between Texas Conference, Southwestern Adventist University, and Lightbearers. I hope that this weekend, we will learn how to be better disciples of Jesus so we can share His good news wherever we go."

ARLINGTON ADVENTIST INTERNATIONAL DAY
Born out of Younger Generation Church’s Shark Tank and the passion of young adult leaders, the all-church International Day blessed our entire faith family bridging all the nationalities, generations, and talents of the whole church. This garnered standing room attendance of the Mosaic worship service and an overflowing “Taste of the Nations” festival with flavors from near and far delighting one and all.
YGCHURCH: LOVING GOD, LOVING PEOPLE
DECLARATION TO THE WORLD
We had another baptism celebration which is one of the great milestones of GOD’s blessing on our ministry. It is important to acknowledge, although it is wonderful, baptism ultimately is not the end goal; It is the end of the beginning.
That is why a vibrant young adult ministry is essential to the continued growth and maturation of every young, new believer in Christ. As we continue the faith journey for emerging generations, we at Younger Generation Church are charged to #BeJesus #BeYG not only on Sabbath, but everyday, every moment; Not only here in the DFW, but anywhere and everywhere GOD may take us.
This past year was filled with spiritual highlights and great faithfulness through @ygchurch. We are excited for the journey and the milestones ahead. We trust GOD to continue to reveal where He is working in the world and invite us to join Him in what He is already doing.
