Friday sunset through Saturday sunset, February 10-11, 2023, GODencounters will return to Arlington Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4409 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington, TX 76017-1427. All are invited as we pursue a wholehearted, 24/7 experience of Christ Jesus. Join us for sunset worship Friday night, 6:00PM, then Saturday morning 9:00AM for Session 1.
The conference is free and open to the community. Our special guests include Pastor Sam Leonor and DBU Chapel Worship.
PASTOR SAM LEONOR
Sam Leonor loves finding ways to engage culture deeply for the sake of the Gospel. His professional life has been devoted to helping people bloom into a faith that is growing, missional and full of love.
He currently works with Adventist Health overseeing the work of Mission and Spiritual Care. Previously, he spent over 20 years in university ministry as Chaplain to the students and faculty of La Sierra University.
Sam was raised in Central America where his parents were part of developing church and health care missions. He has degrees from Southern Adventist University and Andrews University. He is married to Shelley Campbell. Together they have two college age children, Alexandra and Micah.
DBU CHAPEL WORSHIP
DBU Chapel Worship is a vibrant and diverse community of students from Dallas Baptist University that exists to glorify God through authentic worship, songwriting, musical training, and developing disciples of Jesus.
Members of Chapel Worship come together from various cultural and musical backgrounds to make known the Gospel both on campus and abroad.
Their latest album release, “Oh, Jesus [Live],” is available on Spotify and other music platforms.
OPEN THE SABBATH WITH US AT GODENCOUNTERS // FRI 6PM
Join us Friday evening, 6:00PM, in the Revive Community Care center, on the campus of Arlington Seventh-day Church, as we begin the Sabbath together. A light supper will be served as we enjoy sundown worship together. That evening will also commence a continuous 24 hour prayer room in Revive Community Care Center. All are invited to participate in one hour vigils or longer through the entire Sabbath, concluding 6:00PM Saturday evening. tiny.one/prayertime

GODENCOUNTERS SESSIONS BEGIN SATURDAY MORNING 9:00AM
All are invited to join all three sessions of the conference: 9:00, 10:15, and 11:30AM respectively, each with unique worship experiences. Childcare is provided in the Youth Annex for the 10:15AM session, otherwise family areas are provided for the convenience of parents. Also families are invited to “Walk In Love,” utilizing the FormKids family discipleship kits.

ENCOUNTERS LUNCHEON // 1:00PM // FELLOWSHIP HALL
All are invited to lunch in the Arlington Church Fellowship Hall where the drama series “Encounters,” will be shown.
Encounters tells the story of two extraordinary but very different university chaplains and their struggle to make a difference in the lives of students, who often have to face the worst life has to offer. On a larger scale, it is about finding a place in this world, making sense of one’s existence and discovering one’s own spirituality.
The series is situated at a present day university in Frankfurt, Germany. Each episode will focus on the possibilities and limitations, the beauty and the horrors of being alive in the western world of the 21st century. However, woven through the dramas, hopes and failures, is a red thread about what it means to be truly human.
Come enjoy the debut and discuss the drama unfolding in “Encounters.”
