Summer of Acts

SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES

You may want to use other or additional resources to read through the Book of Acts. Here are a couple to consider.

THRU THE BIBLE: ACTS OF THE APOSTLES
The book of Acts, sometimes called the fifth Gospel, picks up where the Gospels leave off. “Take this good news to the world” was Jesus’ last words as He returned to heaven. Travel alongside the early Christians in these beginning days of a great adventure that continues even today. Favorite teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee leads this expedition Thru the Bible. CONFLICT OF THE AGES: THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES
Seventh-day Adventist founder and inspired 20th Century author, Ellen Gould White, offers a revered narrative commentary through the Book of Acts:

”The amazing story of the early Christian believers is told in Volume 4, The Acts of the Apostles. After Jesus was victorious over Satan and returned to heaven, the enemy turned his attention to Jesus' church on earth. Here are thrilling stories of fierce persecutions and unswerving loyalty to God. Peter, Paul, James, John, Luke, Barnabas, Stephen, Mark, and the other early apostles carried the wonderful news of the gospel to all of the then-known world. Unwilling to surrender their faith, many gave their lives. That story is still continuing. Christ's church today is carrying forward the same work and has the same promise of divine guidance and power.”
